Doris (she/her) started with Snohomish Midwives in July 2022 as the admin. She is an incredible asset to our admin team and keeps the office organized and running smoothly! Doris enjoys getting to know the families as they come in for their visits and loves hearing the birth stories. She worked in healthcare for over 20 years and is relishing working in a slower paced, patient-centered office. In her spare time, she loves hiking and being outdoors with family and friends. Originally from Alaska, she grew up being outside in all four seasons and loves all the PNW has to offer. In January 2022, she started her own business as a burnout wellness coach. She crafts herbal body oils and teas, some of which are available in the office.
Please say hello next time you are in for a visit! You can also follow along her wellness business adventure at @moonshinewellnesspnw
Student Midwives
Kenny Lam (he/him) Senior Midwifery Student Kenny is currently in his third year at the University of Washington's DNP-Nurse Midwifery program. He has been an ICU nurse for over 5 years now, but knew early on his true passion lies in the labor and delivery world and maternal health. He was born in a small village in Vietnam where he plans to go back and work in the near future as a midwife. His affinity is rooted in his mother's birthing stories and traumas. He believes in reproductive justice for all, and that everyone, especially those who have been marginalized, should have a right over their own bodies. He hopes to improve the health disparities of people of color in his community.
