Midwife I come to Snohomish Midwives as a local midwife and toddler parent who has called the Pacific Northwest home for over 28 years. During my first year of midwifery clinical training I had the pleasure of being guided, taught, and supported by midwives Melissa Denmark and Sarah Davidson at Snohomish Midwives back when we were located on Cedar downtown. It is truly where the magic began and it’s wild to think that was almost a decade ago! Since then I served as a Community Liaison with the Midwives’ Association of Washington State (MAWS), worked within three local birth centers caring for clients and their growing families in King and Snohomish counties, and had two home births of my own in 2019 and 2022.
To me, midwifery care is compassionate, clinically excellent, and rooted in love. It is the type of care that attends to the whole family's well-being. I hope to empower people through midwifery care, education, and advocacy. It is by strengthening our communities that we can begin to improve pregnancy and birth outcomes. This is the type of care I proudly offer my community. When I am not immersed in midwifery you can find me exploring + connecting with my kids, snuggled up on the couch relaxing, getting my hands dirty in the garden or home projects, aligning myself in the outdoors, connecting with some of my near and dears over a campfire, or checking out live music or a comedy show around the greater Seattle area. I am looking forward to sharing this next chapter of midwifery with all of you! It is ever so sweet that it's back to the roots where it all started. |
